Josh Fagen is a Toronto-based director, sound designer, and videographer. Whether it’s through narrative or documentary filmmaking, Josh is committed to telling important stories in immersive ways. He most recently graduated from Ryerson University’s Image Arts program with a major in Film Studies and a minor in Music & Culture. Josh’s short films have screened at several festivals in Canada and in Europe, including the Gen Zed Film Festival in Toronto, the Montreal Underground Film Festival in Montreal, and the Golden Eyes Film Festival in Prague.

Josh’s passion for storytelling goes beyond his work as a director. Working in production sound and post-production sound, he has an ear for detail and an immense appreciation for the “other” 50% of filmmaking that often goes unnoticed. As a sound designer, Josh uses his creativity to think outside of the box and loves blurring the line between score and sound design. His corporate videography experience also demonstrates his ability to work in a variety of different settings, while staying true to his core values as a filmmaker.
